The Principal is the religious and educational leader of St Patrick's Catholic Primary School, Gympie. In partnership with colleagues and through the support of the Archdiocese of Brisbane, the Principal in a Catholic school recontextualises the Catholic perspective within the context of the school community; focuses direction; creates a collaborative culture; identifies and shapes practices to optimise student and staff learning; and ensures people, finances and resources are effectively led and managed.

The Assistant Principal Religious Education (APRE) assists the Principal in the leadership and operations of a Catholic school. The APRE focuses on providing leadership in learning and identity including mission, formation, the religious life of the school and the teaching of Religion, according to Brisbane Catholic Education and Archdiocesan policies and practices.

The Primary Learning Leader (PLL) supports the Principal and staff in ensuring high expectations for the engagement, learning progress and achievement of each student. The role holder enhances teacher capacity and effectiveness by modelling high-quality teaching and learning across the school; mentoring and coaching; professional learning; collaboration and cooperation.
